Mango Butter (Mangifera indica)

The Mango derives from a tropical fruit tree that originated in South Asia called the Mangifera. Today, the trees are grown in several countries including India, China, Brazil and Mexico.

Mango Butter has been traditionally used in the rainforests and tropics to soften, soothe and moisturize dry skin due to its extraordinary amount of essential fatty acids. Although Mango Butter is rich in texture it is non-comedogenic, which means it doesn’t clog pores. It is a great option for moisturization for people with acne-prone skin.

Also, it is said that Mango Butter works as an agent that helps to facilitate the elimination process of toxins, dirt, pollution and other impurities from the skin. Its soothing qualities makes it ideal for use on skin afflicted by itching, stinging, burning and stretch marks.

Expeller pressed and refined from the seed kernel of the Mango tree, this highly prized Butter is an exceptional quality based ingredient for body care products and soap making recipes. Mango butter has a composition resembling Shea and Cocoa Butter; however, its light aroma is a great alternative if a less pronounced aroma is preferred.

How to use:

Take a pea-sized amount on the palm of your hand and as it melts glide it over dry skin or dab onto problem skin areas such as eczema.

Melt a tiny amount of butter between your finger tips, then coat the dry ends of your hair (ideal to use on split ends).
