Bee pollen, also known as “Ambrosia” or “Food of the Gods”, has been used for over 5000 years as a food source and to increase energy and stamina. Bee Pollen has long been used by historic figures including Hippocrates, Pliny the Elder, and Pythagoras.

Bee Pollen is a mixture of flower pollen, nectar, enzymes, honey, wax, and bee saliva.

  • 30% digestible carbohydrates
  • 23% protein (including 10 percent of essential amino acids)
  • 5% lipids (including essential fatty acids)
  • 2% phenolic compounds (including flavonoids)
  • 1.6% minerals (including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, silicon and selenium)
  • 0.6% water-soluble vitamins and acids (including B1, B2, B6 and C)
  • 0.1% fat-soluble vitamins (including vitamins A, E and D)

Properties:

Bee Pollen has been used for relief of inflammation, as an antioxidant, supporting liver health, strengthening the immune system, reducing stress, easing symptoms of menopause, to speed healing of the skin and as a dietary supplement.

How to use:

Dosage: 1-2 heaping teaspoons per day Adults. ½-1 teaspoon per day for children.

If you have not taken Bee Pollen before please start with a couple of grains and slowly work your way up to the full dosage.

Generously sprinkle over granola, smoothies, toast and salads.

Cautions & contraindications:

Taking Bee Pollen can cause serious allergic reactions in people who have sensitivities to pollen. Symptoms can include itching, swelling, skin rash, bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness, trouble breathing, upper stomach pain, loss of appetite or swelling.
