Although Ravensara oil is often confused with Ravintsara (their common names are quite similar) they are very different essential oils, even though the source for both oils is often Madagascar. The benefits of pure Ravensara oil from the leaves and bark have been known for thousands of years in Madagascar with biologists first becoming aware of the plant in 1782. The beneficial properties were not fully analyzed until 1958.
Ravensara essential oil is a powerful antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral. Used to help heal a variety of skin conditions, it is also used in aromatherapy to aid in the treatment of ailments caused by excess mucous and phlegm in the respiratory tract.
Blends well with: Balsam Fir, Chamomile, Citronella, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Ginger, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Rosemary, and Tea Tree.
How to use:
External use only. Do not use undiluted. Avoid eye area and if epileptic or pregnant. Information provided does not substitute for professional advice and care.

How to use:
- To disinfect a wound, add 3 or 4 drops to cool water, soak a clean cloth in the liquid, ring out and apply to scrapes and wounds as a compress.
- Add a drop or two to a cotton swab and apply to cold sores, nail bed fungus or acne pimples to help clear them up.
