Cardamom is valued as one of the most expensive spices in the world after saffron and vanilla due to its unique flavour and aroma. It has been one of the most important spices traded between ancient civilizations throughout western Asia (Middle East) to ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome.

Arabic medicine used cardamom seeds as an aphrodisiac and mood enhancer, while Chinese medicine used cardamom to cure stomach problems, intestinal infections, constipation, and dysentery. Cardamom essential oil is an effective remedy for headaches and acts as a tonic for the nervous system. How to use: 

• For topical use, blend with coconut oil or blend with Jojoba oil and use in a roller ball.
• Add a few drops to a diffuser for a sense of openness and clear headedness.
• To calm the nerves and regain focus, diffuse cardamom essential oil throughout the home or place a drop or two on your pulse points.
