These pastilles, also referred to as pellets, have a rich golden hue and a sweet, honey-like fragrance. Each pastille typically measures around 3 mm in diameter.
Beeswax is naturally produced by female worker honeybees. The wax is secreted from glands located on the underside of their abdomens and is then shaped into hexagonal cells. These cells are filled with honey and sealed with an additional layer of wax. When honey is harvested, the wax cap that covers the honey-filled cells must be removed. The color and scent of beeswax are influenced by the types of pollen collected by the bees from the flowers they visit.
