Oregano (Origanum vulgare) – Essential Oil

Oregano oil is a potent and powerful essential oil that has been used for centuries in traditional practices. This well-known Mediterranean herb is steam distilled to obtain the essential oil which has a sharp, green, camphor like scent.

It is believed that Oregano oil has anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties as well as being a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Applied to the skin, it helps heal acne, athlete’s foot, rosacea and psoriasis and will help speed the healing of a spider bite. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it a perfect addition to blends for sore muscles and varicose veins.

Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Cypress, Cedarwood Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, Marjoram and Tea Tree

How to use:

• Add 5 or 6 drops of Oregano essential oil a foot bath with 1 cup of Apple Cider vinegar to help alleviate athlete’s foot.
• Is a cold getting the best of you? Combine 2 drops of Oregano oil, 2 drops of Eucalyptus and 1 drop of Lemon into 1 tsp of Apricot Kernel oil, massage into the soles of both feet and cover with a cozy pair of socks (that you don’t mind getting oil on).

Cautions & contraindications:
