Facial Scrub

Through the ages, exfoliation has been a ritualistic part of skincare. The ancient Egyptians were known for the practice of exfoliation. In the Middle Ages, wine was used as a chemical exfoliant, with tartaric acid as the active agent and in Asia, the practice of exfoliation started hundreds of years ago. “Exfoliate” comes from the Latin “exfoliare”, meaning to strip off.

Exfoliating brings a glow back to your complexion by getting rid of dead skin cells and cleansing pores clogged by impurities. Exfoliation oxygenates your skin, softens its texture, and stimulates the regeneration of cells while also prepping it for your moisturizer, which will penetrate more deeply.

Ingredients: Finely Ground Pumice, White Cosmetic Clay, Vitamin C Powder, Vegetable Glycerine, Oils of Jojoba and Almond, Lavender Hydrosol and the Essential Oils of Bergamot and Sweet Orange.

How to use:  Moisten clean skin with a little warm water and scoop about 1 teaspoon of Facial Scrub onto your finger tips. Gently and slowly massage in a circular motion all over the face avoiding eye area. You can leave it on for a few minutes to act as a mask. Add water and rinse thoroughly. Pat dry and proceed with Gaia’s Moisturizer, Elixir or Serum.
